He is the real He-Man or Action👊👊 King of India. For three long decades he was the symbol of masculinity💪 in Bollywood. Be it fighting with the onscreen villains or romancing💏 with the beautiful actresses onscreen, ‘Greek-God’ Dharmendra did everything with much aplomb. He was a blend of raw masculinity and boyish👨charm; he was more than just a hunk.

2) Arjun Hingorani had signed Dharmendra for Dil Bhi Tera, Hum Bhi Tere (1960), his first film🎬 as hero for Rs 51 as signing amount and a daily breakfast that was to contain strictly of tea, two toasts and butter but no jam😮! Later on, Dharmendra was casted as the main villain in Rajendra Kumar starrer super-hit film Aayi Milan Ki Bela (1964). The villain overshadowed the hero in this film🎥 and it gave a major boost to Dharmendra's career.

3) He is the only actor who has worked with most number of directors and paired opposite most number of actresses in his career. The most with Hema Malini (33)👫

4) He is the only leading actor who had 11 films released twice in a year which were in 1973 and 1977🤓.

Apparently, Dharmendra spent Rs 2000 at that time just to keep hugging💑 Hema.

7) Sholay is one of Bollywood's iconic film🎥📽. In this movie, Dharmendra was keen to play the character of Thakur👳 Baldev Singh and he was told that Sanjeev Kumar would then play Veeru and get the girl (to be played by Hema Malini). Finally it was Dharmendra who got to romance Hema in the film. On the other hand, Hema Malini had no scenes🙅 with Thakur Baldev Singh played by Sanjeev Kumar as she had just turned down his marriage proposal👎 and didn't want to be anywhere near him🙎.
