[09] Entire nation is mourning the sad😥 demise of Tamil Nadu’s Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, popularly known as ‘Amma’, who breathed last late Monday night. Jaya is known to the world as leader of masses and charismatic actress👱, who literally ruled the hearts of people till she breathed her last. She was well read and witty, she was intelligent and she knew it.

Here is 10 unknown facts about Amma👸:

1) Jayalalitha learnt Bharatnatyam when she was just 3. Also, She received training in Kathak, Mohiniattam and Manipuri dance💃 as a child. She was also trained in classical music and western classical piano🎹. She was forced to join the Tamil Films🎬 by her actress mother Sandhya (Real Name-Vedavathi) at the age of 15.

2) Jaya’s first movie📽 'Vennira Aadai' was released as an ‘adult only’. As she was only 15, and under aged, she herself couldn’t watch her first movie.  As a Tamil actress, she was the first one who dared to wore a sleeveless blouses👗 and got drenched under a waterfall! How inappropriate debut role it was for a girl who topped in state, receiving Gold State Award🏆 in Matriculate exam!
But wait! very few of us know about her first movie appearance, she played the role of Lord Krishna in a three-minute dance sequence. It was a 1962 film called Man-Mauji, starring Kishore Kumar.

3) Jayalaitha was the first heroine to appear in skirts, knee-length dresses👘, sleeveless suits and gowns in Tamil films in the mid-'60s.

4) She acted in over 125 movies and played double roles in eight of them. She holds the record for being the Tamil actress with the maximum number of silver jubilee hits🏅. 84 of her 89 Tamil films were smash hits and all 28 of her Telugu films were a runaway success. She also gave five hits in Kannada and starred in one English and one Hindi film. She acted alongside Dharmendra in Hindi movie, ‘Izzat’, which was also a hit👏👏.

5) Jayalalitha won seven Filmfare awards and six Tamil Nadu Cinema Fan awards for Best Actress🎖🎋.

6) During her movie career, she fell in love💕 with already married actor Shoban Babu. She was caught watching him through binoculars🔭 from her residence. Great love it was, but she never got married!

7) Marudhur Gopalan Ramachandran, popularly known as MGR, an Indian Tamil film actor, director, producer, and politician, who also served as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu successively for three terms, not only did dozens of hit movies with Jayalalitha, but also introduced her into politics👫.

8) Not only she governs, but she is a good writer📝 in Tamil – has authored at least one novel. She was a regular writer in the yesteryear Tamil weekly by name “Thai”.

9) As a Chief Minister, she only drew Re 1💰 as salary. Jaya refused to accept her first salary cheque as Chief Minister by saying that she had “abundant source of income and she does not need a salary”. On being told that she should receive a salary as public servant, she accepted a salary of Rs.1/-. The decision made her even more popular among the masses.

10) Jayalalitha financially helped a young gardener👨 to pursue his studies, he scored very well in 10th standard, but quit on money issues. He completed his studies in a reputed Engineering college in Madurai with specification in Computer Science💻.
Today, he is  working for Amazon (One of the world’s best company with revenue US $ 24.509 billion (2009)).
