My Visit to World Book Fair 2018

January 13,2018: It is a lazy, winter Sunday afternoon. Book lovers, inquisitive young minds and languid strollers could all be seen walking about stalls of World Book Fair 2018 at Pragati Maidan.

Also, It was a big day for me. I was invited to Authors Corner at World Book Fair. After writing two Books “For Someone Special and Rompimeto” this was a very big opportunity for me.

Program Started at 11:00 a.m. in the morning, my turn was second last. As Authors were coming and delivering their speech, I started feeling nervous. They all were unique with their ideas and thoughts. My palm gets sweated, my heart beat raised. My mind filled with fear.  After waiting for long then one hour my turn comes.

“Good Afternoon everyone!“

I believe that if writers don’t get to a place where they’re “swimming” in their thoughts about their subject then they will not succeed. Or at least the book won’t be the best it could be. It may not be a “place” as scattered in approach as one of my six-hour writing theory, but writers need to get lost in their process and in their subject.

Books are my first love. I’ve been devouring books since the age of 8 or 9 (I can’t recall the exact age). I was coward suffering from meekness in my childhood, I was most uncomfortable around people. So, I chose reading and made Books as my best friend.

(My throat was about to choke, In the middle of the speech I felt nervous very badly, this is my first speech ever. I held my nerves and took deep breath and continue…)

I do not want to take your precious time so let me complete quickly, “One must read books to overcome from loneliness and negativity.  More we nourish our mind with reading books more we will get positive and amazing results.”

Thank You!

Hall was resounding with Applauds. I look toward my nephew Saksham, he was smiling. His smile realized me I’ve done it perfectly.

Feel Relaxed.

After the completion of the program we both visited the Book Fair.

In evening I have some other plans. So, I have to go for now.

But Today’s Diary is incomplete.

To be continued…

Overcome from Loneliness

Break-up or you just got dumped by someone. You just want to curl up and retreat from the world.  It doesn’t matter if it was a LDR (Long Distance Relationship), a short-lived facebook or snapchat affair, an unrequited love or a live in relationship with benefits. If you cared and connected, you feel deep painful feelings instead of that laughter and affection. It’s like experiencing a small death.

Grieving over your lost love for a short time is understandable, but if you stick with this you will only get hurt, your friends will eventually get tired of hearing you talk about your ex and advise you to “Get over it.”

Getting over it.

Huh!

“Easy to say. Much harder to do.”

Every morning you start your day with that intention, trying to move on. But every night ends with you wanting to call them, check out their Facebook page or look through old photos, just to feel closer to them.

“Forget her Yaar! She will not come.”

Break-ups and addiction of doing all these things in night can lead to psychological reactions that cause obsessive preoccupation with your partner, feelings of frenzied desperation, guilt over what you could have done differently and even physical pain. Letting go for good seems unimaginable.

So what one can do?

Selfwork

4 a.m. in the morning I’m writing this stuff, Why? May be because I’ve the answers to explain these type of situations.

First thing what most of us do after breakup is using Alcohol and lots of cigarettes. I suggest try using meditation, don’t medicate. Avoid overusing drugs, alcohol, cigarettes and coffee and resist the urge to stuff down your feelings using chocolate and food. You’ll only end up feeling worse about yourself. In times of stress, eating these things will only cause you to spiral down into a depression, lose sleep and gain weight. I usually, take five minutes to sit quietly, doing meditation, practicing yoga or deep breathing.

After breakup your body stop producing pleasurable hormones called endorphins, absence of endorphins make you feel sluggish and miserable. Exercise increases your endorphins. Join a health club or gym (I Joined Chrome Gym), take the stairs instead of the elevator, walk to work, do some yoga or how about dance (Why Dance? Cause ABCD
{Any Body Can Dance} you too can dance).

Stay active for 30 minutes a day for 30 days, without any excuses.

It’s about 30% Gym and 70% Diet. Your body can’t function properly without the proper nutrition. Don’t skip meals. Treat yourself as if you were your own child — eat wholesome meals that are balanced and freshly made, avoid packaged food.

Get plenty of sleep. There’s nothing more replenishing to your body than quality sleep. If you are having trouble going to sleep because of punishing, pain-producing thoughts, try this my favorite thing: Keep a diary by your bed, write down your anxieties and imagine them flowing out of you and onto the paper.

Don’t ignore or kill your feelings. Instead of killing them try to feel your feelings. Let the tears flow and express your anger. Ignored emotions will only make you calloused and afraid. Start talking with your broken heart, ask questions what he want now and how can you heel him?

Surround yourself with smiles and happy vibes, avoid negative or unhappy people. Make time for some feel good activities — anything from having a cup of tea with a friend to ‘visit to a Hauz Khas Fort’.

Stop obsessing accept the reality. Whenever negative thought occurred in your mind just say, “Stop!” If they still persist, then continue and say again, “Stop right now!”
Saying “STOP!” interrupts the obsessive thought process and breaks the cycle of pain. Immediately, redirect your thoughts away to something good that is happening in your life.

Selfwork

Take a 60-second vacation. From smelling a perfume to Playing a video game on your android phone do anything which can give you happiness. This 60-second vacation can relax your mind and help you lessens anxiety.

Show gratitude to time. Maybe he decided something good for you. Gratitude can transform pain into love and bring peace to your emotional chaos.

Be religious, try reading holy books and visit nearby religious places.

Last but not the least, be Happy cause happiest people are ones who give the most to others. Learn the Art of Forgive.

When you’re feeling down after a breakup, you may feel like you want to avoid the very activities that will actually make you feel better — exercise, visiting friends, being kind to those in need. As much as you might want to, avoid isolating yourself from others. Ask for help and talk to a friend who you know is a good listener. Be kind and gentle with yourself. Don’t think of this as time wasted because you aren’t with that special person, but as precious time you need to reinvest in a healthier, more grounded and more spiritually enlightened you.

In the last, “Best Of Luck to all of you!”

Thinking of New Project

Its almost five days have been past, since I completed my training. Next thing in my mind is, What next? And immediately my mind replied to me, My Dream Project. A novel in Hindi Language. So, how do I start? Though I already written two books but as you all know still I need to grow up as a writer. As a writer choosing what to write next is the most important decision. I do not want to choose anything poor to write, I mean I do not want a piece of shit on my writing table and realize no one is interested in reading what I've written. Worse, I might have to abandon it in the middle, realizing I should never have started it in the first place.

What can I write? For whom I can write? What I want to achieve from this? What story will help me become a better writer? What does my audience want to read? Will this piece of writing give immense pleasure to me? These are the few questions which always run in my mind.

I always tried to note down the ideas which strikes in my mind. Whether these ideas are silly stupid ones or unimaginable I write down all of them on paper.

Currently, I have a story in my mind regarding a Hunter and a Tiger. A story related with Tiger and Hunter. How they hunt? How they survive? How they fight? How they both live in their families? And how they feel when they lost their near and dear ones. And how about revenge in the climax?

I have too many ideas running in my mind. Let's see how things comes up for me. Wish me Best Of Luck for the project.

Thanks!

My Last Day in Office

From the past one year, I've been spending the majority of my days with a group of people unknown to me. If I recall my first day, I just remember how nervous I was on that day. It is bit difficult to accept a new job after having been at my previous job for two years. Leaving one job and starting a new job is not that easy, it’s all scary, filled with nervousness. But right away these new people made me feel at home. My nervousness turned to excitement, and these strangers turned into friends.
Add caption

Yesterday was my last day, and I was little excited for embarking on this new chapter in my life, I was sad to be leaving some of the people I have spent so much time with over the last one year. From them I've learned that we all influence the lives of others, especially those we see on a daily basis. Without some of these people, I don't think I would be where I am today.

Planning and management two basics and most important things I’ve learnt from my Organization and also how to implement these planning on correct time.

Yesterday in evening they planned a surprised party for me. I was surprised to see almost each and every staff member was there for saying me last ‘Goodbye’. They all were happy for me and also they wished me good luck for the future too.

With some sweet and emotional moments, I take off from the office, also few near and dear ones threw a dinner party for me. Miss you all! Hope one day we will meet again till then See Ya all.

Goodbye!

Viral Fever on NYE - Happy New Year

A glass of orange juice and a mood for writing blog, what else one can want on New Year Eve.

I've never really been one to get hyped up about NYE (New Year Eve), maybe because when we were growing up our parents never made a huge deal about it. A piece of Indian sweet dish Barfi at 00:01hrs is enough for me and family to celebrate NYE. Later on, when I was young it was an excuse to party. I attend two or three in my teenage life but I hate these kind of parties filled with Alcohol and Sluts.

Selfwork

I have spent a few NYE's at home feeling unwell thanks to stupid viral fever in this season (Thank God I have something viral to share with you apart from those videos and messages). This is third time in a row I fell sick on NYE. Any day you are sick is unfortunate. You can take it as a given that every day of your life you would prefer health to sickness. It is natural for everyone to prefer to be healthy than to be sick. In that way you could see any day that you’re sick as bad luck especially if that day is NYE.

If one believes in Superstition, does it mean that you’re likely to be sick all year, or have some other misfortunes all year? Don’t Know. I do not think much these day.

I don’t make resolutions too. You need a brave heart and strong inner will for completing even those small-small resolutions.

I get surprised when I see people bursting fire crackers, driving fast, drinking and dancing, getting cosy with their partners on NYE. I mean why so much excitement? Is this a kind of festival? Why we celebrate festivals? Any moral story behind this? Why NYE is so important for us? Any guess? Any idea? Think why we get so much excited on this day?

This year too I will spend my NYE alone at home watching movies and drinking café (I stay away from Alcohol in sickness). No partner, No friends, No one. I have a few invites but I will prefer to stay at home.

Happy New Year to All Of You.

My Balcony

Self work

The view you are looking in Image is from my balcony (3rd floor) at home. One of my favorite place, It is about twenty to twenty five feet in the air, which means you look out from about twenty to twenty five feet in the air. Our apartment is snugly fit against the other buildings.

I like to be out here, can stay pretty much all day. Breathe some fresh air, while having a cup of tea. On weekends, I get a chair, sit and read. Soaking up the sun is little difficult here as sunlight didn’t reached here. But still I love my balcony. I also have few plants and a bird feeder in my balcony. Parrots, pigeons and squirrels always play here.

I often come here in the night to watch starry sky. To break the silence, to hide my emotions, to hide my tears.

I hate when balconies are often underused or unimaginatively used. It’s common to see aesthetically naive residents stashing away all kind of items in their balconies. Most of my neighbors relegates this precious space to a mere store or worse still, an in house junk yard.

In my point of view, a balcony should be properly planned and creatively decorated, if you can able to do this it can be your favorite relaxation space within the home.

Love Your Balcony Always…

A Sad Christmas Eve

Christmas should be the happiest time of year, an opportunity to be joyful and grateful with family, friends and colleagues. But not for our hero Sunny. One week before Christmas 2017 our hero in this story had just been dumped by his girlfriend.

‘You’re not quite right for me,’ she’d said in a text.

Sunny called her, thinking it was a joke but it was not.

First Love, break-up, end of the relationship. Love forever is gone. He was feeling battered.

On Christmas eve he tried to call her but she blocked her from everywhere. May be she was move on with some other guy, he thinks. He was sad, disappointed and right in the center of tinsel, twinkle lights, and towering holly, He lost it. The dam opened today in his living room and waterfall tears gushed out.

“Santa isn’t real. I am all alone. Bad luck is with me. Nothing goes right. What about my wishes and emotions?”

He cried and cried whole night. Every expectation that Christmas would show-well — was busted, like little shards of lemon pickle jar.

All hopes were crushed. A dream of a romantic week with her lady, with a bottle of mulled wine and adoring gifts was shattered.

Next day…

He wakeup. Those thoughts still striking in his mind. He was single and miserable, spending Christmas alone and her EX was enjoying with her family and friends.

“She don’t care about you”, his devil mind said.

He has no one with whom he can share his feelings. May be he want to share with his friends or family but he has “Trust Issues” now. Now he doesn’t want to trust someone so easily.

He moved toward the window and open the curtains. Though the sun was shining brightly but still the air was icy and sharp.
The first thing he did was replied everyone on Whatsapp who wishes him ‘Merry Christmas’ though they were few in numbers but sometimes numbers doesn’t matter. He wished them all.

He finished his breakfast. He sat in his small balcony and started reading a book. He took a nap in the noon.

Until now he didn’t feel lonely or sad but the main problem starts in evening. As the evening gets darker he started feeling alone and depressed. It is due to break-up or it is SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder)?

May be it is due to unrealistic expectations and excessive self-reflection.

Finally, he decided to go outside. He doesn’t want to spent his night feeling excruciatingly lonely and questioning Why he was here on this Planet?

He landed in a nearby market where he lives. Whole market was shining, hundreds of fairy lights draped over trees and buildings. It was perfect.

There, from a small sweet 2 years old kid to 80 years old lady all were looking happy, enjoying this moment. Saying Merry-Christmas to each other. For a moment he forgets about his bitter life.

It’s 9 in the evening, the time was come for him to go home, but seems like he doesn’t want to leave.

After a long time, I see a smile on his face.
He is really happy from inside or is it a fake smile?

He is loving all this that’s why he doesn’t want to leave or he is afraid of that loneliness, which is waiting for him at home?

Will someone ever understand him?
Too many questions…

Let him live this moment, don’t disturb him.

Shhh…

Shhhh… shhhhhhhh….

Merry-Christmas friends.

Lonely Nights

My lifeless eyes
looking outside the window;
searching for You
I knew you're not there,
what can I do?
It is past midnight
everyone is sleeping
I'm the only one who is awake
because those moments strikes;
when we're together,
always happy never cries
remembering you,
how can I tell,
I need you?
But now with tears in my eyes,
I covered my face with bedsheet
Waiting! When will all this ends-up?
When will I came out of these,
Dark lonely nights.

Broken Heart

sitting on the bench in the park,
with my broken heart
Baby don't do this to me,
i would lost my path
How do I forget
that
"I love you"
Which you said to me
after looking into my eyes,
How do I believe,
You told me a lie
my mind overflows with memories of You
How can I live without you,
Baby don't you knew?
Without you my angel,
I am all alone
feelings, joys and happiness,
all are gone
what do i do?
what is my fault?
I do not know who was correct,
who was wrong
Let it go baby,
don't make it hard,
because true love is precious,
which never fell apart.

I Love You: Feelings To Convey

why are you doing this, ruining my life?
making it complicated, always causing stress and strife
Baby don't you remember,
who stands with you in your hard time?
Before ending all this please clear your mind
Don't you forget you're just 22
I'm the one who is protecting you,
Today you're fighting like I'm a fool
only God knows how much I really care for you
you fight with me each day and every night
I will stay strong,
until you realize
till then i can do a favor for you
i will cry tearless for you
in the end i just want to say
i wish you stay happy
with joy on your face
I love you these three words I chose
for my feelings to convey.

Delhi Book Fair 2017: For Someone Special Book By Yogesh Sharma

23rd edition of Delhi Book Fair 2017 will be held during August 26  September 3, 2017 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi by India Trade Promotion Organization. The fair is organized in association with Federation of Indian Publishers. Though a much bigger fair Delhi World Book Fair also held at same venue in the month of January-February every year. However, the main aim of both the fairs remains same and they both promote the importance of books to bridge the gap across various socio-cultural, linguistic and religious diversities.

https://youtu.be/abiJDm2eGR8

Book Fairs have a great role to play in promoting the reading habit among people of all age groups. May be the biggest book bonanza keenly awaited by students, teachers, scholars, authors, intellectuals, librarians and book lovers (I'm too excited this year). I am visiting both book fairs from past few years. As I am an amid reader and now a poet, writer and an author too. So this time it is special for me too.

The entry ticket for the fair was INR 20 per person last year. Earlier, it used to be free and later it was INR 10. However, School children can still get free entries with their identity card only. I am expecting last year Fair timings from 11 AM to 8 PM. Last year 235 publishers participating in the fair were from India. Also, publishers from abroad include those from the US, Pakistan, Russia and China participating last year.

https://youtu.be/bv2XySTdC4Y

From the entry gate you can see the road full of publishers banners and their most famous book titles. Before reaching the fair venue (Hall no. 9 to Hall no. 12A), you could know more about the publishers and famous titles from these banners only. This fair is equally good for adults as well as for children. There are lot of child literature including academic books, stories books, comic books and sports items available for the children in this fair. And this book fair is not about only Hindi and English Literature. There is vast and rich collection of Urdu Literature, Punjabi Literature and South Indian Literature.

Almost every well-known publisher in India will participate in this fair.

And, the stall of Indian Social Institute always remains one of my favorite stall in the book fair. Various small booklet on social issues, social laws and public rights are easily available here at very cheap prices.

This time I will search e-book pavilion, Kindle or I must say amazon.com pavilion. It will be the best time to promote my e-book For someone special (link given below) here on amazon pavilion. Only disappointing thing what I am thinking right now is about customer or reader reactions. They praised you, they love your writing skills, they admired you but at the end they asked with curiosity if they will get this books for free. Internet is still about free software downloads, free song downloads, free movie downloads etc., in this country, then why not a book? E-books still have a long way to go in India.

Image Source: My Book in Paperback Edition

If one getting tired of walking from stall to stall and want to take some rest, there are large areas covered with mat, where he can take rest. A cafeteria is also there.

The Delhi Book Fair has been attracting 2.5 lakh to three lakh visitors every year, and this year the number is expected to go up. It is always a great pleasure to visit and explore the collection of books at various stalls in this fair.

For Someone Special is a book on romantic poems and short stories. Critically and widely acclaimed in US, Uk and Japan. Do not forget to order it from all amazon.com sites.

Happy Independence Day India (70*)

Its 70 Indian Independence Day on Tuesday 15 August 2017. A country running high on the wings of development in the past decade. A country having so many religions and different cultures. A country with almost one fourth of the world population. So many different emotions, so many different things but one thing is common in all of us. A Heart! Beating and saying continuously India, India, India...

Remember? Those freedom fighters who fight for us. Those people who left their homes, families, career and much more for India's freedom. Who gave their whole life for their country, for our Country.
Image Courtesy: My Own Work on Picsart App

From school days I thought or I should say I learned India is a land of movement who produce real life heroes like Mangal Pandey, Bhagat Singh, Rani Lakshmi Bai, Mahatma Gandhi and so on... It was started in 1857 with Mangal Pandey revolution and continued with Swadeshi Movement in 1905, Satyagraha, Save Silent Valley Movement (1973), Chipko Movement (1973), Namantar Andolan (1978), Jungle Bachao Andolan (1980s), Narmada Bachao Andolan (1985), Jan Lokpal Bill  Anti Corruption Movement by Anna Hazare (2011) & Nirbhaya Movement (2012).

But from the past few years meaning of Independence changed for few Indians. I felt ashamed whenever I called them Indians. The one who always perform some non-sense things against India. They support terrorists, they support caste system, they support all those people who are against India. I felt ashamed on them who played with the feelings of a particular religion.

I get hurt whenever I see an award winning writer throwing back his award for a terrorist who was found guilty in planning terrorist attacks. I felt ashamed whenever I see Human right activists shouting and fighting for a terrorist who get sentenced to death by Indian Judiciary. They thought it was his human right to live freely after killing those thousands of innocent people.

Some of them feel it is impossible to live here, India is becoming intolerance state. They want freedom of speech. They want freedom of not standing and giving honor to a national anthem and our Tri-Color flag. I felt angry when they said they will not sing 'Vande-Matram' our national song as some of them found it against their religion. Shame How they combined a national song with a particular religion.

For those who found that a democratic country like India is not giving you a right to speak or killing your freedom of speech than why not you just go to any Saudi Country to live in? I am sure you will found your freedom there.

Stop this drama of Award wapsi, #notinmyname, intolerance protest and stop playing with the feelings of religious people in India. I appealed to the youth of India today please do not become the part of these types of movements and waste your energy on non-sense things. These types of protests and movements will not give you anything and also by joining these types of protests you are pushing your country backwards.

Focus on your study, focus on your career, spent some time with your family, be a kind hearted gentleman for a society, for everyone and I am damn sure one day India will automatic become much stronger than now. No Problems, Only Happiness!

In the last freedom for me is, freedom of without harming others-freedom of religion -school choices-careers-medically-sexuality-as long as your freedom does not interfere with others that is independence really.

Suggestions are always welcomed in comment box.

Oh! By the way Do you read my book? Nope! Go and garb it now from the link given below:

When a father do something unexpected for our Mother

Love is a mixture of verb and action. Its not something that you just fall into and then you take your hands off the wheel. Love is a constant gesture. It is a million of I love you on whatsapp chat messages, phone calls to show you care, warm embraces, tender hugs and kisses, dates, smiles, and winks. Its finding a compromise where no one wins 100%, but its something everyone can live with.

Today, my Dad drew a painting and filled some colors in it (see the image) and wrote my mother name on it. As a father of two who came from a family who is bit traditional it was something unexpected.
Sorry Dad you made a mistake in it. It is wife not Wief. Spelling error :-p

Image Courtsey: My Dad work!

Both my sister and me always curious to know about their relationship. There is always shouting, augmenting, fighting and many more things, apart from love there is everything. Whenever they fight we just gaze at the two from the corner of the bed (where we hide most of the time when they fight), our eyes moving side to side, trying to figure it out, whats going on?

I always thought that, Will they ever go out for a date? Had they ever watched movie together or dine a romantic candle light dinner near Naini lake?

But today my father did this, something really loveable and romantic. Exactly what I want to do [If I ever get married and if I ever have children :-D]. I want my son to see me while I paint something for his mother. I want to tell him how much I love his mother and I want my son to know how to treat a wife and mother. I want him to know the importance of showing the mother of his children affection, even after many years of marriage. I want to show him by example.

[Dont worry my babies I want a Beti too ( Beti Bachao Beti padhao ]

And for my daughters, I want them to expect someone drawing something for them. I want them to marry someone who is willing to take that extra little bit of time and money to invest in romance.

I dont know why he do this today or what he fell for. But let me accept it, we liked it very much. May be this is the best thing a father could probably do to make sure his children see how he love their mother.

You always lie to me but I love you

Image Courtsey: My own work

I hate you,
You lied to me;
Whether it was 'Day or Night'
You lied to me each & every time.
You promise me not to Cheat,
But you hide the truth,
You made those fake smiles.
I am fool, who was not able to see;
Those 'red hands' covered with my innocent but now 'dead emotions'
Holding the 'Venomous-knife'
Your lies cut my soul into pieces;
I tried to cover my naked heart,
But its condition was unable to hide,
Tell me dear, how did you feel?
Was there any word to say?
Silence was not an answer
On this 'Dooms-day'
Let me told you one thing
Before it gets too late;
Don't felt so guilty
As it was my mistake,
I couldn't judge your eyes right,
When there were betray.
I had a blind faith on you,
So, how can I hate you?
I always tried to love you
'Out-of-the-way'
These are my final wordings,
Nothing more to say…

When You failed in your first attempt

What would you do if you get failed in first attempt? What will be the impact of this failure on your life? Would you surrender to the circumstances created by this failure or would you learn and stand up again for the next successful attempt?

It is very easy to advice someone but very difficult to understand what the person is thinking or I should say suffering after a failed attempt.

Yes, you can take motivation from those Zero to Hero celebrities like Henry Ford, Operah Winfrey, Sir Rajnikant, Dhiru Bhai Ambani or Amitabh Bachhan and so on but reality is that it is all not that easy.
Imagine a situation where your age is 30+ and you are still in a search of job. You want to do that part time Diploma from a most famous Institute but you were not good enough to be there in a 1st cut off list.

 Heart Breaking, isnt it?

(Filmy Kahani lagati hai puri)

My name wasn't even on the list. I am a good student with 77% marks obtained but wait
Really? I mean really I am a good student until this 95% 1st cut-off list.

For the first time in my life, I had failed at something important to me, and I thought my life was over. I felt more embarrassed, confused, or disappointed. It was difficult for me to face my relatives, friends and colleagues. I wanted to find a dark corner to hide in for the rest of the school year. I had failed.

Now it was in my hand rather I surrender or fight, fight until achieving success.

Ye failure kisi k sath bhi ho sakta hai fir chahe vo koi young fresh-out-ho-college ka ya koi businessman. This can occur at any point of time in anybody career. So no matter what point of your professional life you are in, if you're making a first attempt in a new direction, know that you could meet with failure anytime. Be prepared and instead of letting the failure bring you down, make sure you make it a cause for success.

Failure Sucks!

There's nothing worse than finding out that you're not good enough, that you're in inferior, that you're inadequate.  However, failing at something also wakes you up to reality and challenges you to be better.

Failing taught me that I wasn't good enough.

After sulking for a day, I get to know that I was not good enough at least the level of 95% list. But instead of surrendering in front of circumstances I decided that if I was going to make into the next list or I will try it again next year but until then I have LOT of work to do. Positive attitude against this failure made me stronger and more confident.

Failure makes you better.

Failure teaches you more about yourself than probably any success you'll ever have.  Failure teaches you what you need to work on, where your shortcomings lie.  If you've been lazy or complacent, failure will teach you that slacking off and coasting will not lead to success.  Failure teaches you exactly what went right and what went wrong and how to improve for the next time around.

Failure removes regret

After making all those efforts to avoid failure -  you can go to bed that night full of pride that you did all that you could; you left it all on the field, now if you failed.  You can move onto the next venture without regret.

Attempt:  If you succeed, congratulations!

If you fail, analyze, and then either improve or move on!

Without failure, there can be no growth no innovation.

Never be discouraged. Remember you dont get masters degree in nursery class or I should say first day of the school, 21 years it took 21 years to get a masters degree. You got to endure till you get there.

Thomas Edison failed 10,000 times before finding the correct filament to make a light bulb.  If he had given up after 9,999 different attempts, who knows where we'd be today?

Do Delhiites Show-off?

Delhiites or WE "Dilliwalas" are pretty passionate about our city DELHI. But some of Non-Dilhiwalas think we show off most of the time. It is our right to show off each and every time.

But does it true?

As I am too a Dilliwala most of you will think I also love to show off my:

- Money

-Gfs

-Mobile Phones (especially those iPhones)

and

-Imported Cars and Bikes (The noise from Silencer).

Is that so? Does it really true?

Honestly speaking most of the Delhi people I observed as a writer has been trying to make a point that they are cooler and more open minded than the rest of others. They tried to show off their lavish lifestyle with null savings. But that doesn't mean all Dilliwalas are the same.

Most favorite lines of We Dilliwalas are:

1. Maa ki aankh a slang used when a person lands in a problem.

2. Kitne ki hai? (how much this price for?) used for every stuff you buy whether its a Pajama or a Branded Car.

3. Behanc**d (BC) an abusive word but on every one tongue whether it comes from a seven years old child or 70 years old grandpa you can listen this word very easily.

An outsider can't understand why a girl told her friends that she wore a 3K rupees tank-top which she actually purchased from a street in 150 rupees.

Lets have a look what I observed until now in so many years …

1) Dilliwalas are show-off  Comparing different states people as one is like saying that all wines taste the same! Delhi is a composite city of different cultures. Historically, people from different parts of the country have come to Delhi for jobs or business and settled down. So generalizing that all "Delhiites are showoff" is just plain stupid. Yes, sometimes we do see folks trying to brag about things they own but it’s not any different from any other city, anywhere in the world.

2) Dilliwalas only "think" they are cool – Apart from the list of famous people from Delhi. We don't think we are Cool we know we are! You think it is a Joke? I guess No! There will be section of people who'll always think that they run the city I am sure one who travel Delhi must experience this. You've met those folks, right?

3) Dilliwalas don't have any saving and they show off (Money/ Bikes/ Mobile phones) - That is completely NOT true. Personally, I save money. I rode a bike and took the public transport (shared autos, Metro, bus) to work and office. Apart from those chilled beer parties and raunchy hot dates.

4) Dilliwalas wear branded stuff – After visiting Lajpat Nagar or Sarojini Nagar Market or Palika Bazar probably the biggest street markets I've seen my views for branded stuff changed. Why these markets are always so busy if we wear always branded stuff?

5) Dilliwalas think South Indians are Madrasis  Really? I have NEVER in my life heard any Delhiite calling a South Indian a Madrasi. Yes, I've seen it many times on TV but never in real life and I've lived in Delhi since birth.
We do call a girl Babe, chick, katto, totta but calling a South Indian Madrasi, Neahhhh

We Dilliwalas generally are quite tolerant (especially in a city with such diverse cultures) and most of them are very friendly. One must proud to be a Dilliwala, If anyone of you had a bad experience, we really sorry and we apologize! It is after all, Dilli hai Dilwalo ki It is Dilli walo ka Shehar (The city with a big heart)

तुमसे दूरी

"तुमसे दूरी" तुम क्यों बदल गए? तुम्हारी क्या मजबूरी थी? तुम तो मेरे दिल में थे, फिर क्यों हम तुम में इतनी दूरी थी, ...
